Once the basics start to feel natural, freediving really opens up. This is the natural continuation of your basic course — building on what you already know to take you a little deeper, stay a little longer, and have it all feel easy.
Who Is It For?
Divers who have the fundamentals and want more. If you can already comfortably reach around 12–20 m, you'll feel right at home. You don't need to be an athlete — just curious and comfortable in the water.
What You'll Explore
Understanding your body
We go deeper into how you adapt as you descend, and how relaxation, pressure, and breathing all work together. You'll learn advanced Frenzel equalization and get an introduction to reverse packing, discover how freefall works, and learn to plan a dive so safety becomes second nature.
In the pool
You'll get more comfortable holding your breath and gliding underwater — longer, calmer, smoother. You'll develop your no-fins swimming — dynamic no fins (DNF) — moving with nothing but your own body. It's less about hitting a target and more about finding ease.
Going deep
This is the heart of it. You'll equalize smoothly as you descend, relax into freefall — that quiet moment when you stop swimming and simply sink — and dive with calm, efficient technique to 30 meters. You'll also meet a new discipline — constant weight no fins (CNF), descending with no fins at all — and get comfortable on a lanyard and looking after your buddy at depth.
A Typical Week
A typical week looks like this:
- Day 1 (09:00–16:00): Theory + static apnea session + open water session
- Day 2 (10:00–16:00): Theory + dynamic apnea session in the pool
- Day 3 (10:00–14:00): Depth session in open water
- Day 4: Day off
- Day 5 (10:00–14:00): Depth session in open water
- Day 6 (10:00–14:00): Final depth session. Optionally, this day can be organised as a trip to the Blue Hole
Between water sessions there's dry training for breathing and equalization, video analysis to see your dives from the outside, and time to let it all sink in. We move at a pace that suits you — depth comes from relaxation and good technique, never from forcing it.
What You'll Take Away
You'll come away diving deeper and far more relaxed, with skills that make every dive safer and more enjoyable — including looking after the gear yourself, from preparing the buoy to setting and collecting the line. There's an internationally recognized advanced freediver certification at the end of it too: with it you can train at almost any dive center in the world without an instructor — an independent freediver who just needs to find a buddy.
How to Prepare
No special prep — just arrive rested and relaxed. A few things help: keep a gentle breath-hold and stretching habit, sleep well and stay hydrated, skip heavy meals and coffee a few hours before water sessions, and make sure both nostrils are clear before each session (a saline spray helps). All equipment is provided, but if you have a mask, fins, or wetsuit you love, bring them along.
Ready to Go Deeper?
This is where freediving starts to feel effortless — where relaxation, freefall, and smooth equalization come together and the depth just opens up beneath you. If the basics have left you wanting more, come and explore what's next.
